Dr. Stella Faria

Dr. Stella Faria received her Bachelor of Science degree, graduating summa cum laude with a major in Biology, from Allen University (Columbia, SC) in 2010. In May 2014, she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry (Indianapolis, IN) where as a student, she was involved in leadership roles both as Secretary of the American Association of Public Health Dentistry- Student Chapter and Class Representative of the Student Professionalism & Ethics Association. In addition, she regularly volunteered her time both at the Amish dental clinic in Northern Indiana and at the Indiana University Student Outreach Clinic.

With a dedicated heart for service, she has continued to volunteer her time, as a general dentist, to those who are underrepresented and underserved in her community. While working in SC, she participated in the annual Dental Access Days event which is geared to providing free dental treatment to uninsured adults from low income families who would otherwise have no access to dental care. Dr. Faria currently resides at Owens Cross Roads, AL having recently moved from SC to be closer to family.

Dr. Faria is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Alabama Dental Association and until recently was also a member of the South Carolina Dental Association and the PeeDee District Dental Society.

Dr. Faria is married to the love of her life, Sherwin Faria, and they recently celebrated their 6th wedding anniversary. They both attend and are active members of the Oakwood University SDA church. Outside her professional activities, she enjoys traveling, reading, playing tennis, swimming/ water sports & dancing.
